Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician, former cricketer, and the current Prime
Minister of Pakistan. He was born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan. Imran
Khan gained fame as the captain of the Pakistan national cricket team, leading
them to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. After retiring from cricket,
Imran Khan entered politics and founded the political party Pakistan
Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996. He focused on advocating for anti-corruption
measures, social justice, and an improved governance system in Pakistan. Imran
Khan's political career faced several challenges and setbacks before his party
gained significant momentum in the 2018 general elections, eventually securing a
majority in the National Assembly. On August 18, 2018, Imran Khan took the oath
as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan. His government has prioritized various
reforms, including economic stabilization, poverty alleviation, healthcare

peace and stability in the region and has played a significant role in promoting
